Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, scanners, fax machines).
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and manage multiple duties.

Responsibilities

• Composes and frames camera shots, applying light, lenses and camera settings to match directors' vision.
• Adjusts camera positions and controls to change focus, exposure and lighting as requested.
• Operates studio cameras during live broadcasts and remote cameras during live broadcasts.
• Confers with directors and crew about sequences, effects, movements and lighting requirements.
• Sets up cameras and related equipment; tests, cleans, maintains and repairs gear.
• Produces and creates graphics for the newscast.
