Job summary
NBCUniversal Local in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Media Operations Specialist to join the Technology & Operations team supporting NBC10 & Telemundo62. Responsibilities include media ingest, QC, asset management, and newsroom system support.
The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree, newsroom experience, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to work nights/weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; unrestricted US work authorization required.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Experience contributing to multimedia projects across video, sound/music and television production environments.
- Understanding of Audio/Video signal flow.
- Time management under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Familiarity with video/audio file formats; basic editing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set up live shots for newscasts/shows.
- Quality control video and audio signals for live productions.
- Monitor and fulfill media ingest requests.
- Monitor/Manage server storage space.
- Educate users on standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot workflow and newsroom system issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
