Job summary

KDFW FOX 4, part of FOX Television Stations, is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Master Control Technician for an 8-week assignment in North Texas. The role focuses on MC automation, transmission operations, and content ingest in a high-volume broadcast environment.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year technical or RTf degree or equivalent experience, plus 1 year in a Master Control/Operations role and proficiency with iNews and automation software. Shifts include nights/weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical or RTf degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of Master Control or related television operations experience preferred.
• Proficiency with master control automation and broadcast software.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily Master Control operations and automate switching with precision.
• Oversee transmission platforms using IP video and satellite feeds.
• Ingest and verify incoming news and syndicated content for air.
• Maintain transmitter logs and FCC/EAS compliance documentation.
• Operate across multiple systems under tight deadlines in a top market.
