Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. seeks a Studio Technician in High Point, NC to operate cameras, audio, lighting and related systems for daily live broadcasts and studio productions.

You will collaborate with the director, crew and on-air talent to ensure flawless executions, set up segments, and assist with studio maintenance. The role requires physical ability to climb ladders, lift 25 lbs, and work non-standard hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in television, film or postproduction preferred.
• Must be able to climb ladders and lift 25 lbs.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate studio equipment for daily live newscasts and other studio productions, including cameras, audio, lighting and other systems as needed.
• Work closely with the director, other studio crew members and on-air talent to ensure productions are executed cleanly and as planned.
• Setup special segments, including audio equipment, tables and chairs, props and other items as needed.
• Assist in the operation and daily maintenance of the studios and all equipment within.
• Interact professionally with outside guests, and prepare them for studio appearances with instructions and setting up their microphone and other items.
• Must be willing to work outside of normal schedule as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent attention to detail, and strong communication and organization skills are essential.
• Ability to handle high stress environment with deadline pressures.
