Job summary

Shepherd of the Hills seeks a Light & Sound Technician to operate, program, and maintain audio, lighting, and effects for live productions in Branson. You will work closely with directors, designers, and fellow technicians to ensure flawless technical execution that supports the show’s creative vision.

This role emphasizes safety, equipment integrity, and professional conduct, with duties spanning setup through strike, cue execution, troubleshooting, and collaboration across the production

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of audio systems including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and speakers.
• Working knowledge of stage lighting systems including fixtures, consoles, gels, and basic rigging.
• Ability to read and execute a cue sheet accurately during a live performance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a production team.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike sound equipment for live events.
• Operate lighting fixtures and consoles to execute the lighting design for each performance.
• Program and run lighting cues to create cue sequences and desired visual effects.
• Manage pre-show, in-show, and post-show audio playback including background music and effects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly during performances.
• Attend production meetings and rehearsals as required.
• Collaborate with show directors, stage managers, and crew to align technical execution with the creative vision.
• Communicate clearly with all team members before, during, and after performances.
