Job summary

Perdue Farms, Inc. is seeking a Live Hanger to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll work directly with live birds, placing them into shackles on the moving line to support the start of our processing flow.

You’ll help maintain line speed, product quality, and a safe work environment while contributing to a successful production process. The role requires standing, lifting, and comfort with cold environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history within the past 3 years in a similar role.
• Previous experience in poultry processing is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve birds by their feet from a conveyor on a moving line.
• Hold birds weighing 2–6 pounds by both feet.
• Hang birds in shackles on the line at a controlled pace to maintain throughput.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety programs.
