Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Live Hanger to join our production team, supporting the start of our processing flow by placing live birds into shackles on a moving line. You will contribute to line speed, product quality, and a safe work environment in a hands-on role.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM - 1:30 PM, with weekends as needed and regular rotation to support production. Prior poultry processing experience is preferred and physical stamina is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve birds by their feet from a conveyor and hold a bird in weight ranging from 2 to 6 pounds by both feet.
• Hang birds in shackles by their feet on a moving line and maintain a steady line speed to prevent bruising or damage.
• Rotate shifts regularly to support continuous production while keeping a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area and participate in safety programs.
