Job summary

L’Arche Homefires is seeking an energetic Live-out Assistant to support individuals with and without developmental disabilities in a community setting. You will work alongside core members, participate in daily life activities, and contribute to house routines and training.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the team, attending meetings, and ensuring a respectful, person-centered approach while adhering to policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of L’Arche history, core values, and mission is an asset.
• Post-secondary education or experience in human services is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration within a team.
• Ability to support daily living activities within a shared living environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the Identity and Mission of L’Arche and adhere to core documents.
• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and community gatherings as required.
• Contribute to wider community life and committees.
• Support core members with daily living activities with respect for choices and goals.
• Be flexible to core members needs and schedule requirements.
• Assist with transportation using the L’Arche Homefires fleet when possible.
