Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. seeks a Studio Technician to operate professional broadcast equipment for a live News show and ensure WPIX meets FCC quality controls and video/audio standards. Must understand broadcast workflows and work with on-air talent under deadline pressure.

The role requires a college technical background, strong communication, and experience with Windows/macOS software, plus the ability to lift equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

College graduate or equivalent technical training.
Communications, Electronic Technology, or related degrees are helpful.
Three years of related job experience.

Responsibilities

Operate audio (A1/A2), video, robotics, video server ingest/playback, satellite-microwave receive equipment, routing switchers and test measurement devices.
Ability to operate a full pedestal Studio Camera, Jib and/or Handheld camera.
Digitize audio/video from field, library or baseband feeds using Windows and Mac software.
