Job summary

16 On Center's Thalia Hall seeks a Security Agent to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests, artists, and staff. You will patrol various venue areas, enforce policies, and respond to incidents with professionalism and discretion.

Role requires calm judgment, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays during events like Lollapalooza week and New Year’s Eve.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience in venues, nightlife, events, or similar settings preferred.
• Current PERC license preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Comfortable enforcing venue policies and maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assist with guest ingress, ID checks, bag checks, and credential enforcement for backstage areas.
• Greet guests professionally and clearly communicate venue policies.
• Monitor guest behavior and address unsafe or inappropriate conduct.
• Use de-escalation techniques with intoxicated or upset guests to maintain safety.
• Document major incidents and communicate with security leadership as needed.
