Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. A married couple lives on campus, supervising a group of 8–13 students, guiding academic, emotional, and social growth in a family-like home.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, medication administration, activities planning, devotions, and budgeting. The role transitions to a placed houseparent over time, with on-site housing and meals provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
