Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and supervising a group of approximately 8–13 students.

The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include salary per person $46,917, comprehensive benefits, relocation support, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; able to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Two-person role for couples.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog allowed.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
