Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students. This is a rare, full-time, two-person role focused on mentorship, routine management, and student wellness.

Couples must be married at least two years, both 27+, and prepared for a demanding yet rewarding life of service, with nine days on and three off, housing included, and a pathway to a placed houseparent position.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role: married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; alcohol not permitted on duty.
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved dog.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and lead development/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
