Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. This unique role places couples in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, and supervision for 8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring daily, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting with reporting duties.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver''s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities, and planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
