Job summary

EF Education First (EF) is seeking Resident Advisors to live on campus in Miami, FL. You will oversee student wellbeing, lead activities, perform administrative tasks, and support housing operations while working 20+ hours per week with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Previous Resident Advisor or Residential Life experience is a plus.
• Interest in education, counseling, and international relations is helpful.
• Willingness to wear multiple hats and stay organized under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Student Supervision: Oversee daily well-being, safety, and discipline of residents and enforce minor curfew checks for students under 18.
• Dormitory Management: Conduct weekly room checks and liaise with Housing and Maintenance on concerns.
• Problem Resolution: Address concerns, complaints, or emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Administrative Support: Assist with weekend check-ins/check-outs, on-call duties, and other tasks.
• Community Building: Create a welcoming living environment through role modeling and leadership.
• Crisis Management: Lead during emergencies to ensure resident safety.
• Communication: Keep Housing management informed on issues and needs.
• Meetings and training: Participate as scheduled.
