Job summary

Boston College is hiring a Temporary Resident Director to live in and oversee a university residence community. You will supervise 8–20 staff, ensure safety and maintenance, and uphold BC’s Jesuit values in a diverse, inclusive setting.

The position requires a Master’s degree (Bachelor’s required) and 1–3 years in student affairs. Strong leadership, crisis response, and collaboration with campus offices are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required for employment.
• 1–3 years of experience in student affairs or residence life.
• Understanding of Jesuit Catholic mission and inclusive community building.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 8–20 Resident Assistants and Graduate Assistants.
• Oversee all operations, housing assignments, and campus safety checks.
• Serve as Conduct Hearing Officer and on-call crisis responder.
• Advise Residence Hall Council and collaborate with campus partners.
• Foster safe, inclusive living environments aligned with BC values.
