Job summary

Endicott College seeks an Assistant Residence Director (ARD) to lead a residential community under the supervision of a Residence Director. The ARD will oversee a team of Resident Assistants, support a diverse student population, and serve as a conduct hearing officer.

This live-in, full-time, 10-month position includes on-call duty rotation and ongoing opportunities for hands-on experience in student affairs and higher education administration. The role is offered as a three-year term on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree pursuit preferred.
• Experience in Residence Life or student affairs recommended.
• Ability to work flexible hours; evenings and weekends.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision, training, and evaluations for Resident Assistants.
• Implement RA-led education initiatives and events.
• Support housing operations and occupancy management.
• Oversee housing selection, break closings, and transitions.
• Participate in on-call crisis response and protocols.
• Serve as conduct hearing officer for campus standards matters.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and follow-up with students.
• Support departmental initiatives and collaboration across offices.
