Job summary

University of Delaware in Newark, DE is seeking a Resident Assistant for Fall 2027–Spring 2028. The live-in RA supports RLH goals, responds to student needs, and helps maintain a safe, inclusive residence hall community.

The role requires UD undergrad status, 24+ earned credits by start, a 2.5 GPA, and availability for weekly trainings and holiday closures. Start August 2027 with a stipend and room compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a minimum of 24 credits by start of appointment and maintain a 2.5 semester/cumulative GPA.
• Undergraduate student in UD colleges; continuing education and graduate students are not eligible.
• Any Code of Conduct infractions will be considered prior to offer; past infractions may make you ineligible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for resident students.
• Develop inclusive communities to enhance the college experience.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and assist with opening/closing of residence halls.
• Attend training programs, staff meetings, and asynchronous modules (evenings/weekends).
• Provide after-hours coverage and respond to student and facility needs.
