Job summary

The Community Housing Improvement Program seeks a Resident Manager to ensure the fiscal and physical integrity of the property and to create a safe, healthy community for tenants. The role requires managing office and tenant files, enforcing lease terms, and coordinating maintenance tasks with staff.

Ideal candidates will have property management experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and the ability to handle on-site duties, on-call responsibilities, and basic accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of property management experience or a combination of transferable work experience and/or education.
• Proficient in speaking and writing in English/Spanish.
• Resident Manager lives on site; a 3-bedroom apartment and utility allowance provided.
• Able to operate Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Office & Outlook; training provided for property management software.
• Willing to share on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Schedule work hours during normal business hours, generally M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility for tenant scheduling.
• Maintain office hours and be on-call during other hours.
• Maintain tenant files and related documents in orderly condition.
• Enforce Lease Agreements and House Rules; document non-compliance and initiate eviction procedures with supervisor approval.
• Receive notices and inform residents of rights and responsibilities upon termination of tenancy.
