Job summary

Always There Home Care of Susquehanna Valley is seeking a compassionate CNA or Personal Care Assistant to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. You will help with daily living activities, housekeeping, meals, and companionship while ensuring safety and well-being.

Benefits include paid training, flexible scheduling, direct deposit, and mileage reimbursement. Prior CNA/Home Health Aide certification is preferred but not required; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance.
• Pass all background checks.
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred, not required.
• Strong time management and attention to hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishes and cleaning bathrooms.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Provide dementia care and companionship activities (reading, music, puzzles).

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
• Pass all background checks
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred, not necessary
