Job summary

Right at Home South Central Michigan is hiring CNAs, HHAs and Caregivers to provide compassionate in‑home care for seniors and adults with disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal prep and accompaniment to appointments, with weekly pay and ongoing training.

We offer flexible scheduling, referral bonuses, paid training and opportunities for advancement. A valid driver’s license and background check are required, with CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in client’s home (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support range-of-motion exercises as prescribed.
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
