Job summary

Coastal Carolina University is seeking an incoming or current CCU student to serve as a residential assistant, maintaining a supportive living environment and modeling daily living skills. You will facilitate weekly meetings, help with transportation and routines, and support residents’ social development.

Your role includes responding to concerns, following procedures, collaborating with CoastalLIFE staff, and upholding policy and confidentiality while representing the university.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time CCU student in the FA26 academic year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a supportive and unrestricted living environment.
• Model daily living skills such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, organization, adaptability, and time management
• Facilitate weekly suite meetings and build positive relationships with residents.
• Assist with transportation and daily routines as appropriate.
• Support social skill development and conflict resolution
• Respond appropriately to student concerns or crises and follow reporting procedures
• Collaborate with CoastalLIFE staff and attend required trainings
• Uphold university and program policies, professionalism, and confidentiality
