Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. You’ll provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, creating a structured, family-like environment to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student health.
• Drive students to activities and participate in recreational/developmental activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
