Right at Home Essex County, NJ is seeking a compassionate live-in caregiver who drives and has their own insured vehicle for an immediate opening. You will support a client at home with daily personal care, companionship, and transportation to appointments.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of caregiver or home health aide experience, a valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle, and a patient, dependable approach. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Availability for a live-in assignment with an immediate start.
• Valid driver’s license and your own reliable, insured vehicle suitable for transporting the client.
• Three years of caregiver or home health aide experience in a home or facility setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the role.
• A dependable, patient, and compassionate approach to care.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Provide assistance with walking and transfers.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to the client’s care plan.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and supportive engagement, including dementia care as needed.
• Drive the client to medical appointments, errands, and other outings using your own vehicle.
• Complete light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and linen changes.
• Follow the nurse-developed care plan, including assistance with prescribed exercises and special diets.
• Communicate changes in the client’s condition or needs to the office.
