Right at Home Essex County is seeking a compassionate, experienced live-in caregiver who drives and has their own reliable, insured vehicle for an immediate opening. Help a client remain comfortable at home while providing personal care and transportation to appointments and errands.

Applicants must be available for a live-in assignment and able to use their own vehicle to transport the client. Please include your earliest available start date when applying.

Competenze

• Availability for a live-in assignment with an immediate start.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable, insured vehicle suitable for transporting the client.
• Three years of caregiver or home health aide experience in a home or facility setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the role.
• Dependable, patient, and compassionate approach to care.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Provide assistance with walking and transfers.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to the client’s care plan.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and supportive engagement, including dementia care as needed.
• Drive the client to medical appointments, errands, and other outings using your own vehicle.
• Complete light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and linen changes.
• Follow the nurse-developed care plan, including assistance with prescribed exercises and special diets.
• Communicate changes in the client’s condition or needs to the office.
