Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking a dedicated Full-time Flex Houseparents couple to reside on campus and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8-13 students living in a home.

The role requires two-person commitment, annual schedule of nine days on duty followed by three off, and potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement with the same student group. On-site housing and meals are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role; couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/devoting time to developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
