Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and oversee a group of 8–13 students. The role provides care, guidance, supervision, and a structured family-like environment to support students' academic, emotional, and social growth.

The position begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule, progressing to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Transport students to activities and actively engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
