Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, guidance, and support for a group of 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

Initial duties include daily supervision, scheduling, activities planning, and devotions, with progression to a placed role living with the same students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
