Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students.

Flex Houseparents begin in multiple homes and follow a nine days on / three days off schedule, with progression to a placed houseparent role where they live with the same students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role with at least two years married.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver26s license and ability to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
