Job summary

Arrowhead West Inc in Wichita, KS seeks a compassionate Live-In Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role focuses on building meaningful relationships, creating a safe home environment, and positively impacting daily lives.

You will assist with community activities, home skills (laundry, cooking, cleaning), personal care, and activities to promote independence.

Qualifications

Minimum age 18 years
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to pass required background checks
Ability to complete required training

Responsibilities

Support individuals in community activities (shopping, events, outings).
Assist with personal care needs and health routines.
Teach skills for a clean, safe home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, groceries).
Promote independence through Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSP).
Collaborate with case managers, direct care staff, and supervisors.
Work 5 consecutive days with 2 days off; live in private apartment; off duty during non-working hours unless emergency.
