Job summary

Jubilee Association of Maryland in Rockville, MD seeks Direct Support Professionals for a full-time live-in role. The position runs 3pm-9pm, Monday through Friday, with rent-free housing and support duties in clients' homes and communities.

Direct Support Professionals help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and engage in community activities, while following person-centered plans and maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional is a plus, but not required.
• Commitment to Jubilee’s core values of respect and human dignity, self-determination, community, justice, ethical practices, and spiritual care.
• Computer skills for using email and online data systems.
• Current U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support provides in-person daily support for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Engage in social/community activities and develop relationships.
• Assist with shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Monitor safety, transport clients, and document progress and incidents.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and family members and participate in team meetings.
