Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is recruiting married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students.

The role includes nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with opportunities to transition to a placed houseparent role. Competitive compensation includes per-person salary, housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role; both spouses married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Supporting multiple homes initially and transitioning to a placed home.
