Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role involves living in on-campus student homes with about 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

The position features a nine-on, three-off schedule initially, with a future transition to a Placed Houseparent in a stable student home. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and relocation/training support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities with students.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
