Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role places you in on-campus student homes, caring for 8–13 students, guiding their academic, emotional, and social growth within a structured family-like setting.

As a couple, you will follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with a path to a placed Houseparent living with the same group. The position includes extensive benefits and relocation/training support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
