Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off. The role progresses to a Placed Houseparent, living and working with the same student home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
