Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, helping their academic, emotional, and social development.

The position follows a nine days on, three days off schedule, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role, living with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comply with smoke-free and weapon-free campus policies.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
