Job summary

Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and mentorship for 8-13 students.

The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and may transition to a fixed student-home assignment. The compensation includes $46,917 per person annually, with total couple compensation around $180,000, plus comprehensive benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Starting as Flex Houseparents and transitioning to Placed Houseparent with same student group.
