Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising, budgeting, and leading devotions, with transition to a placed role over time.

Salary is $46,917 per person (about $180,000 per couple with housing, meals, utilities, and more). Benefits include comprehensive coverage and relocation/training assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples / married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Move students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
