Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They live in on-campus student homes, overseeing a group of 8-13 students and providing care, guidance, daily routines, and a supportive living environment.

The role emphasizes mentorship, safety, and the development of students' academic and social skills within a structured, family-like setting that fosters growth. The schedule includes nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth, mentoring, or caregiving.
• Two-person married couple with at least two years of marriage.
• Both spouses must be aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds are allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and monitoring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
