Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents—married couples who reside in on-campus student homes to care, guide, supervise, and support 8–13 students. The role transitions from daily home duties to a placed home with a consistent group of students, offering a structured, family-like environment and meaningful youth development.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules; supervise medications.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
