Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and guidance for about 8-13 students, and support academic, emotional, and social development.

The role requires a two-person married couple, both aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED; duties include supervision, scheduling, safety, and occasional driving. Housing and meals are part of the compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse couple role with at least two years married.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• No smoking or weapons on campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
