Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. The role centers on mentoring 8–13 students, managing routines, and supporting academic, emotional, and social growth.

The position starts with a nine-on/three-off schedule, progresses to a placed home with the same group of students, and includes comprehensive benefits and relocation training. Two-year marriage, 27+, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to be certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
