Job summary

Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents as a married couple. You will reside in on-campus homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students, guiding them academically, emotionally, and socially.

The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule, later transitioning to a placed houseparent. Benefits include comprehensive coverage, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
