Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents who are married couples to live in on-campus student homes and care for 8-13 students. You will supervise daily life, manage routines and schedules, drive students, and supervise devotions and chapel attendance, while also handling budgeting.

This unique role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a path to a placed houseparent after transition.

Qualifications

Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
Both spouses aged 27 or older.
No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
Managing household routines and student schedules.
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
Driving students to activities and planning engaging developmental and recreational activities.
Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
