Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus homes and care for groups of 8–13 students. The role includes supervision, mentoring, scheduling, and coordinating activities to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and status as a legally married couple at least two years.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Support several student homes initially; nine days on duty followed by three off, then transition to a placed home.
