Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks two-person Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes, overseeing 8–13 students and guiding academics, behavior, and well-being.

Couples must be married at least two years; both spouses ≥27, with a high school diploma or GED. Duties include supervision, routines, transport, devotions, budgeting, and progression to placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or volunteers.
• Two-year married minimum required for couples.
• Both spouses must be at least 27 years old.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted on duty.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel activities.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Begin in a flexible nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle; later transition to a fixed home.
• Ensure placement in a consistent student home over time.
