Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, hires married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision for a group of 8–13 students, creating a structured, family-like environment to support their academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, driving to activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Oversee budgeting and reporting for the household.
