Job summary

Right at Home Darien is seeking live-in Caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in Darien, New Canaan, South Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich. The role focuses on enabling clients to live independently at home with companionship and non-medical support.

The ideal candidate will be caring, self-directed, and able to work with English communication. CNA is a plus, while experience as a caregiver is preferred. COVID vaccination is required by the franchisee.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate, with a desire to help elderly and disabled.
• Self-directed; able to work independently.
• English reading, writing and speaking as needed for the job.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of caregiver/Home Health Aide experience preferred.
• COVID vaccine is required.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and non-medical support to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping.
