Job summary

TLC Home Care in Alaska is hiring a dedicated caregiver to provide compassionate, in-home support. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and independence for clients with diverse needs. Ideal candidates have caregiving experience and strong interpersonal skills, with CPR/First Aid preferred. This is an in-person, flexible-position supporting ADLs and companionship.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience preferred.
• PCA or CNA certification encouraged but not required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred/recommended.
• Must be an Alaska resident.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Reliable transportation preferred.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Ability to assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Ability to provide personal care and companionship.
• Able to assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Able to assist with mobility and transportation needs.
• Willing to complete required pre-employment screening and background checks.
• Must be willing to attend required orientation and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care and companionship to clients.
• Assist with daily living activities while promoting safety and independence.
• Support clients with mobility, grooming, and personal care tasks.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping as needed.
• Record and communicate changes in client condition to supervisor.
• Transport clients to appointments and social activities when required.
• Adhere to care plans and company policies at all times.
