Job summary

TLC Care Services LLP is seeking a dedicated part-time or hourly caregiver in the Palmer and Wasilla area to support clients with daily living needs, personal care, mobility and companionship.

We welcome beginners and those with 6 months to a few years of caregiving experience; CNA/PCA certification is encouraged but not required. CPR/First Aid are preferred, and valid Alaska residency around Palmer/Wasilla is important.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience preferred
• PCA or CNA certification encouraged but not required
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Must be an Alaska resident particularly in Palmer or Wasilla near location
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide personal care and companionship
• Able to assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs
• Willing to complete required pre-employment screening and background checks
• Must be willing to attend required orientation and training

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes. Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, patient monitoring techniques, first aid and CPR certification, manual handling skills including heavy lifting and patient transfers such as Hoyer lifts are essential.
